Today I finished sandblasting the frame and parts. We hope to get the frame sanded and painted by the end of next week while we still have the weather on our side.

Today I removed the welding spatter from the frame and swingarm. I use a small hammer and a 3/16" punch. Set the punch against the side of the spatter bead and hit the punch with a light sharp strike and the bead pops off. Once painted it looks so much better plus it doesn't tear up the sandpaper while prepping for paint.

Today we got the frame primed and painted. It was a great day for painting, calm but a little bright out. Now it's hanging up from the ceiling out of the way to dry.

Today we got a batch of small parts sanded, cleaned, primed, painted and hung up on the biker wind chime rack as my buddy calls it. We still have another batch to do.

We've been assembling things like wheels, brake calipers and master cylinders. Also cut off the old bearing race from the steering stem and drove on the new lower tapered roller bearing.
I have to make some sort of stand to support the bike while we assemble it since it came without a centerstand.

Yesterday we put the painted frame on the lift and cleaned out the threaded holes. Currently working on finding a centerstand so we can start assembly.

its hard to believe I was at that stage not so long ago - keep plugging away.
might have to find some large chunks of wood to sit the frame on if you dont have a main stand yet.

We got the new centerstand mounted satisfactorily by shimming the bores with strips of aluminum sheet so it doesn't rattle while riding. Now we can put the frame on the motor and stand it on the lift table so we can put the rest of it together.

Today after clearing the road with the tractor and chainsaw because of a giant windstorm so Paul and Ian could get up the road we got to work installing the motor. The power will be out for a week so we opened up all the bay doors for light. We put the frame on the motor and stood it up on the lift table. Over the next few days I'll do what I can without power in the shop. The generator only runs the house.
The top half of a large cedar tree just missed the woodshed but that's okay because I needed some more kindling wood.
