Seems like you buried the lede there a bit. Of the 4 (!) versions of the 900RS they are selling this year I think the SE is the coolest. How did you find one? Did you have to special order it? I looked around a bit and didn't see any listed at dealers.

I think we had a wolf in sheep’s clothing here. Look at this guy go. Great work on the 1000. Looking good. I have stalled out on my 76 project looking for a crankshaft. 3 on the bench so far and not one good on. Taking one last chance on used. Another member Wheelhop and I bought some parts in Florida. Wheelhop is driving down the end of this month to pick them up. Fingers crossed.

I put a deposit down on an SE from Blackfoot in Calgary, but Kawasaki is several months behind. Their January allocation showed up in March. I put a deposit down on their Feb allocation. Still waiting...
I have seen about 3 SEs at various dealers across Canada - Edmonton, Winnipeg, Montreal.
I actually almost prefer the paint on the blue model that's out this year, but to upgrade the shock, front brake caliper, brake lines, etc, it wasn't even close to worth it.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Mikaw, Do you want me to check with my friend in Chilliwack?

Can you give me some more details one how your cranks were bad. I had to get a different for reasons I don't really want to get into (stupidity) and now I'm concerned...I think we had a wolf in sheep’s clothing here. Look at this guy go. Great work on the 1000. HRM, thanks, the crankshaft I bought in Florida is from a very respected Kz guy. Hopes are high this will be the one. If not I might take you up on your offer. Thanks a bunch.Mikaw, Do you want me to check with my friend in Chilliwack?

Kay, two of the cranks have bad rod small ends. Galled up and out of spec. The third has notchy bearings. According to Pearson racing it’s commen for a crankshaft that has sat a while. The roller bearings have no inner race, the bearings ride on a machined surface of the crank. The rollers will rust and they will need to be disassembled to properly inspected to determine if the crank surface is good.
