A pretty inconsequential thing, but managed to score a K&N air filter for the bike. The best I could find on these was about $142, and most places are out of stock. I happened to be browsing the ebay as one does, and came across an NOS one. I offered him $50 for it, which he accepted. Not actually sure if I'll even run this. It might make the bike run too lean? I guess I'll find out when it warms up.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration$50 is a steal deal. I would investing some left over money to get some air corretor jets zed1015 offers:

I don't believe that's necessary with a stock airbox.

Given the price of original toolkits, when I saw this (mostly) complete kit on eBay for about $100, I knew I had to have it. Just missing the screwdriver handle and the rod.
This is the only tool bag I've seen with the "circle in a square" on it. It this the correct toolbag, or is it for an earlier model?

Took delivery of another package today after it bounced all over Florida for a week. Super excited for the motion pro pilot screw adjusting tool so I can try to avoid burning my knuckles off.
Also got some new side cover emblems, a carb float gauge, and some more accurate feeler gauges for the valve clearances.
Still waiting on some tire levers and rim shields so I can get the tires swapped, and some new exhaust manifolds. The ones I have aren't cracked, and don't seem to leak but I'm pretty sure they're firmer than they should be. Hopefully new ones make taking the carbs in and out less of a chore.

Brought the front wheel home the other day and got the new tire on. What a pain trying to get the new tub in on these!
Can't seem to get the bead to seat properly, so hopefully a hit of compressed air once I get it back to the shop will do the job.
We'll see how the rear goes with the rim locks. Allen Millyard makes it look easy, but he makes everything look easy.

Amen to Allen Millyard making things look easy, I watched the wheel lacing video more than a couple times. Just the tone of his voice puts me in a happy place. I'm definitely not a tire mounting expert, but a little air in the tube and some baby powder seems to ease the pain of installation. Getting the valve stem through the hole in the rim is the best fun!

For what it worth. I have no experience trying, but I just had my rear tire swapped out, dealership mounted wrong tire. I had just watched Allen’s video about putting the rimlocks under the rim band. The dealership mechanic said only one rim lock can go under the band. Not sure why but he has been mounting tire for 30+ years

Not sure why either. Just got the rear done, and both fit under there just fine.
Once again, the hardest and most frustrating part was getting the valve stem in it's hole.
The last 8 inches or so was quite a challenge too, but not horrible. Would have been easier with a third hand to keep the last bead lock in.
