I built a set of rear-sets that mount directly to the KZ studs. I used 1/2 inch aluminum plate. the are not pretty (yet). but will be satisfactory

you can weld some tabs to the frame and run some late model sport bike passenger peg brackets and all.

now to find some......challange will be to cut , grind and mold.

I'd go with 3/8". Plenty of meet and a little easier to weld to the thin wall tubing the frame is made of.

thx.....ill get a piece of both......

finally found the problem with the welder...thought it was me dont knowing how to weld. the gas line that connects to the drive motor block was broken and had come off :( .....wish i had found the prblem earlier would off made better looking welds.

well...finally decided on the passanger pegs....93-97 zx6
need advice on the weld....would like to make one complete weld from one end to the other.
can i do that without worry of the frame bending out of shape?

i would tack it in four places.
each end both sides and then sew it up .
you shouldn't have any problem.

Correct me if I'm wrong here Leon. You always run the risk of having a crack next to the weld if it is MIG welded in due to the heat the MIG uses. Typically, it would depend on the amount of stress in the area of the weld. I MIG a few tabs here and there where I know that the stress/vibration will not effect them. Sooo, for a frame brace kit I would say no, for your application, could go either way.
