So that's what the piece of wire I have floating around in my old parts box is for
Yes, the area behind the adjustment cover is where I "trimmed" it :side: . If your sprocket isn't hitting, you won't have to remove all that much, looks like just the lip, as Leon said. Looking good!

little more work.......
really did'nt like the position/feel of the rear sets up on the frame. knees to high and with the clip on of the gsxr just did not feel right.
so when to work.....put about 8 hours total on the design and end up with using original pegs and to my surprise was able to keep and use the kicker. :cheer:

This is what I want to do with my bike. I really don't like the riding position with the rear sets I'm using, just too far back and too high making my knees bend too much and hit the valve cover, I'm thinking about doing something like you did to mount the master cylinder but since my frame is painted I'll have to come up with something different for the brake lever. Maybe attach the lever's pivot to the master bracket. Thanks for posting this, I'm glad I'm not the only one who wants to use the original foot controls, way more comfortable riding position. What is your brake lever original to? And how close is your foot to the clutch cover?

The lever is from the 93 gsxr1100 just like the rest of the parts.
The lever peg is about 1 1/4" long so that is the distance from cover to end of peg.
Trying to keep as much original parts on the bike as possible.

1/8 inch thick or thicker material in the shape you have there welded well on both sides will be plenty stout.the main thing is the welds are done well .
as the suspension works it is trying to tear them off the tube.so the weld is the main factor in opinion.
