The sad thing is that they are period correct upgrades for the time it was raced.. Maybe it was lack of story line. You needed a pick of you racing it Doc. I'm going to send them a nasty-gram.

VJMC shows seem to attract small cc original / restored bike fans..

When Les and I have shown our Turbo Bikes with them at a major show the VJMC members who stop by ogle the little dirt bikes . But the

Folks that come to see the whole show love the big muscle bikes way more than the little 2 strokes.. Cant please them all :pinch:

You hit that nail on the head!!!! Some of them will go ape sh*t over some beat up CB350, and walk right by a TZ750 road racer!!!!

Besides that, I really enjoyed being at the show. Most of the people there were GREAT!!!!

That is one beautiful KZ1000, what mods did you do at the rear to raise the seat..?

I only used the two stock front tail section mounts, the rear tail section mount I fabbed up myself. That rear mount at one time was also where I had my oil cooler mounted to until they changed the rules. I just raised the tail section up, and made the new bracket. Then I reshaped the seat pan to match the newly angled tail section. I have over 7 inches of rear wheel travel on this frame. That's the reason I had to raise up the tail section.

Thanks Gamma, I saw the pics of the frame mod but was wondering what you did to the seat, did you basically just bend it a bit, or cut stretch and weld..? I am amazed at how much it changes the look of the bike, much more aggressive... I love it... ;)
