but does that extra pad, translate to better braking?? wouldnt u have less psi with more surface area.
it seems that the new bikes have abandoned the 6 pots in favour of the 4 pots. or an i mistaken ??

Well it depends on the volume of the 6 pots versus the 4 pots. The volume of the 4 pots is actually larger I believe due to each piston being much larger, but 4 vs. 6. It also depends on what your master can develop with how much force you can exert. Fact of the matter is the new radials are 4 pistons but are lighter which is kinda the name of the game. You can pull stoppies with both the four and the six. The sixs are heavier and more expensive, and the fours can apply enough stopping power, why would a manufacturer choose them? It really is a personal preference and more about feel and how much force a rider can actually apply to a lever.

Slight update, waiting on parts.... ugh. Started playing around with the headlight assembly. Using a Kawasaki Zephyr headlight bracket which bolts up directly to the ZRX triples. Mocked up the headlight, and now I am investigating where I can fit the steering damper. Maybe I can sneak it in under the headlight on the front, or may have to go behind the lower trip and moutn of the frame tube. Once I start welding, things shoudl start to pick up on this thread. Parts will hopefully be here by the end of the week.

I looked at that this morning but will have to give it more thought! Didn't have coffee yet....
Greg,
Yes, I still have them but didn't know you would be interested in cut off frame components! If you want them, I'll send them your way. I think I still can find your addy.

I really like your track bike components. I like the idea, but I think if it and my oil cooler play nicely together, they both go behind the lower triple and mount off the frame neck.
