All,

I know I have not been really been documenting this from when I picked up the bike, but here it is now. Should be on its wheels in a day or so. Then it can be wheeled to my dad'd shop for all the welding and fabrication like rear set mounts, frame gussets, etc... I am doing all this in a one stall town home garage filled with 3 motorcycles, shelves, work bench, bicycles, fluids cabinet, etc... Been stealing time on the mill at work. Here it is..

What do you think?

That is that adapter shaft I used to mate the swing with the frame. Uses to 5/8" x 18 thread, Grade 8 bolts (one from each side).

I can send a couple of pics tonight, but I sent you the drawing a while ago? Do you still have it? I have the swing arm centered, but my rear tire may be slightly off center as I remember the ZRX1200 when they went ot the 180 rear tire and 6" rim, offset the wheel assembly in the swing. Won't be able to tell until I get it on a jig. I also need to make a taller kick stand!

Yep repairing it stock colors and carrying that scheme to the front fender. I also want to mention that I think due to frame manufacturing variance, I ended up trimming like 1/32 to 1/16 off the larger flange end of the shaft.

dohh :pinch: ,are you sure you sent me that pic? maybe you meant to and forgot :silly: .

you might want to work up a price for the guys doing the zrx swing swap,it is a very sweet solution.

you won't have any issues running the wheel/tire offest.mine has the hub centered but the wheel offset as well(3/8's to the right)which in turn allowed me to get away with a 3/8's offset countershaft sprocket.it turns just as well left as it does right and runs straight as a string down the road,no sweat removing your hands from the bars running 70mph.

i think it is super cool you are going back with a stock type paint job.

Leon,

I am a full time engineer, so whipping out shafts is not feasible... However, I'll go into business with you! I attached the drawing, so you can make them and sell them and throw me a cut!
