Stock is claimed as 38. Should I do 40s or 42s? What would you guys say? I live at sea level. It runs pretty good, but has a LOT of popping on decel and if I am just cruising at like, 30mph.
If not already done, would first try enrichening the pilot circuits by turning all pilot mixture screws out counter-clockwise by 1/2 turn, and by 1 full turn or more if popping persists.
Another consideration is that the pilot circuits may be obstructed.
Or running lean due to missing parts such as plugs or o'rings at base of pilot jets.
Or too low fuel level in float bowls (as determined via clear-tube test).
Good Fortune!

you've given me some idea's for my KZ750 ltd (that pic of that xs with dualsports on a few pages back sealed the deal). Any chance your freind could make another seat pan?? local guys are pulling the fillings out of peoples teeth here in atlanta.
may ask him to fab up rear brake caliper tabs. using alot of gas when you have to down shift all the time
bad ass build though, feelin it.

As for the seat pan, he might be up for it. I will get back to you about that. What do you think a reasonable price would be for a basic seat pan like mine?

had to come back and edit this... may have to bite the bullet and get it done around these parts or do it myself. CNC just makes it look soooo much better.
I have a 750 LTD frame, little different I believe from yours (definitly gonna chop some off, but still).
thanks for asking though, still curious

I'm very happy with the color tho, I hope O can find grips that will match. I will post more pics when I get a really well fitting foam pad in there. Next step is to take the whole thing down to nothing and paint it. We shall see how lazy I am and how long until that happens.
