This might be a little redundant but, 4th try got it on the left mount but 1 thing puzzles me, How the hell you guys running sprockets as little as 15 tooth 530 chains? My arms are of stock diameter of original and I wouldn't want to chance anything smaller than a 17 tooth with out hitting the front of the arm if the chain had a little slack and you were slowing down. Okay back to this thing, I just have to mount chain guard tabs, single shock strap holders and brake stay, easy enough, just back to the jig for the strap holder. Also managed to get most of the battery box and mounts squared away, run out of argon.

looking great man glad to see you got it going your way.
since mine is still waiting on the actual riding part I cant say on the sprocket I went with an 18 in a 520 because if the heigth difference in tire heigth to try and keep a similar gear ratio

This is 18/43 with 530 chain right now, I think it's a 1/2" offset, may be 12mm. I believe I have a 124 links of chain on but at 120 links puts the wheel adjustment in the middle.

The face of the dash wasn't as flat as I would have expected. Another thin coat of spot putty to fill in the low areas in the dash and in my previous applications of filler  Of course, this pic looks nearly identical to the last one, but progress is progress, and more than one person is counting on this coming together.....

18 and 19 in 530 sounds better, I hope I'm missing something cause I was thinking I read some post where they were running 15's in 530 and that's just asking for trouble with rubbing the swingarm.
Progress is progress Adam, Looking forward to seeing it.

Because I'm old and can use the good excuse that alzhimers is setting in
I went down to the workshop and removed both covers and counted the teeth on both
front and rear sprockets.
According to the Gearing Commander site.
On the 1327 it's 18th and 36th X 530. Tyre 180/55/17
100kph/60mph X 3600rpm. Top speed 253kph/157mph X 9000rpm.
On the 1080 it's 18th and 40th X 530. Tyre 150/70/18
100kph/60mph X 3700rpm. Top speed 240kph/150mph X 9000rpm.
I have reached both top speeds. Obviously quicker on the 1327 :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

shoot adam i am just glad that you didn't just pick up your ball and go home.
the carbon fiber parts you are building,at least you have a bike to hang those on.
these z1r dashes, you (in all likely hood) won't get to even use one yourself :pinch: .
so for you to gut it out and get a sweet assed mold built to be able to lay up some kickass parts is pretty freakin cool in my book.
way to go man.
thanks alot.
