Very nice solution indeed . B)
i cant tell where the bottom mount goes. does it bolt to the footpeg hole?

Looks to me like the lower mount is the swingarm pivot, but i could be mistaken.... it wouldn't be the first time! :P

thats what i thought too. but then i thought that would mean the s-arm would have to be pretty narrow ?

It is on the swingarm bolt and it doesn't affect where the arms weld on to the head tube but the head tube is 1" narrower on the left and 3/4" on the right. I've been contemplating doing this and thought it might even increase rigidity in the chassis by triangulating it a bit but had my reserves until the thread about the Harris Magnum which uses the motor as a big part of the chassis. I did have to redo the left mount due to chain clearance but knew that when I made the first one, just needed to get a visual to go forward.

Probably doesn't matter since he's building a swingarm to suit.

I like the design, but one thing to keep in mind if you are trying to garner the bolt-on crowd, is that the battery box and all associated electrical will have to be repositioned.

Okay, here is the swingarm just slid in with no bearings. I made a new left hand mount to add clearance for the chain and went too extreme the other way and it now hits the swingarm. At least now I have a cleared visual of just what I can get away with on the next mount. I'll start that tomorrow.
Right now it looks like just the battery box is going to be the only part that need made. Now I have a real excuse to get a metal brake. :)

I knocked the bondo down and gave the part a coat of spot putty.

Man this went well this morning, I'll get pics up as soon as I get batteries but this looks good! Clearance everywhere, full motion on arm. I've got 5" wheel travel limited by the footpeg mount on the right side hitting the arm and the wheel hits the fender when it's up.
