Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

The badges are what came on the Mojave tank. I tried to get a local pin striper/kustom painter guy to do them WWII bomber art style. He had them for months and just wouldn't do them, so I got them back and an art major that works at my Dad's office painted them for me....for free.
Proxy, I like! The badges are small, though....less than 3" across.
Waiting on throttle cable and I'll get her back on the road.

Just finished reading the build. awesome job man. I am working on my 78 kz200 and have gotten alot of good ideas from your build. looks amazing for just being spray bombed, which i love. Luckily i won't have to modify my frame as you did since i have straight rails being that its a 78. Cafe's are amazing really tells a lot about the individuals that ride them and make them.
I'm a vw junkie, i think its really cool you repurposed an old beetle stinger exhaust. Good work and thanks for all the helpful tips. I hope mine comes out as clean as yours

That's because it's loose in the manifold from where I removed the broken throttle cable. Good eye, though!
I was half-expecting your answer to be that it was intentional for circle track riding. Nice looking bike....makes me miss my first (kz250D1)...fun little bikes (just not a good size for big guys like me )

As requested, some vids of the muffler and a quick fly-by.
It took a little work, but we got the KZ200 throttle cable to work. I'm going to take it out for a spin today and see what parts fall off next!

Brings back memories! I forgot how the exhaust on the 250's made it seem like a much bigger bike!
EDIT: Where did you find that foam for your cafe seat? I am looking for something similar to that myself...

There was a guy on ebay selling it. I got a bunch of scraps for less than the guys selling it with the tag "cafe racer" on it!
I have some left over. PM me with how much you need and a zip, maybe I can help you out.
