Sometimes, not having all the parts at hand can be a blessing in disguise. It allows you time to really think about what you're doing, asses your direction and construction. I know there were several parts of my build that I had decided about at the offset, only to change my mind later after reading, thinking, figuring, experiencing. Each man has his own method, and I'm with you....it would be nice to have all the parts to just get it done start to finish. There is something to be said for slowing down A.D.D. types like myself

Swingarm pivot will be in the same place as the stocker. The bottom end of the shock mounts to the linkage. The front end of the linkage mounts to tabs that you will add to the frame. Those tabs will be close to the center stand mount location. Yes the shock will hang down a bit, but it shouldn't hit anything. Unless your upper mount lets go.

I think this is something that is gona be worth it !!
I will have the stock swing arm out for bracing and mabie add an inch or two to it this winter that will give me time to mock up the 636 swing arm and get a better Idea.
I like the 7 spoke rims why dont I see them on the kz conversions??
Also good news I have found a guy to lay down some pinstriping lol its gona be the $hit! Yellow base Green wavie stripes (is wavie a word lol) orange and black crazy pinstriping, with eye balls worked into the paint like they are floating in and out of the desigen
Found my painter at a school art show walked in to some awsome crazy out there pinstriping. I will get a pic of the desigen I picked out ass soon as I can
Sorry for jacking this thread it was a right time thing I have been reading the mono shock conversions for weeks and this was hear when I returned lol

It seems to me that the suzuki parts work better. The pivot point of the swingarm is normally narrower than the stock KZ, easier. Some of the early GSXR triple tree stems are almost a bolt on situation, easier. The fronts for me have been the easiest, I had a katana 750 on my 650, now zx6r. I love the way my bike will look this spring, I just need to drop another 500 or so dollars for the parts to get it there!!!

I kno its not to everyones liking but this build of mine is a bobber KZ1000p with mono-shock rear end. Swing arm came off Kawi 07 ZX6R, and so as the front forks.
