A little bit of an upgrade...

So I was getting a little tired of the twin shock and katana front setup, so it was decided to start swapping in a few of the pieces and parts that have been gathering dust in the shed and garage over the past few years. Most of this stuff was going to be for a GPz project, but I lost interest in doing another complete build. So here's a starter photo, what it was.

And here would be a few mock up photos... the goodies are ZX6R forks (95-97 model) and GSXR750 swingarm (93 model). The triples worked once I pressed out the stem of a zx6e set and pressed it into the type R lower clamp. This allowed me to use the slab style upper clamp and in turn modify it with risers for handlebars.

So I couldn't stand it anymore and grabbed some of the other stuff I had laying around to truly get the feel of... how its gonna feel. A sporty head light on a little mount that I fabbed and the stock KZ controls and grips, as soon as I find the calipers I will remove the master cylinder from the old front end and rebuild it and install it. Oh, and a sweet set of brake discs from ebay for $50 shipped! I love that damned website!!

Just got my spacers for the swingarm pivot:( and they are less than aacceptable. The OD is nice and smooth and dead on 20mm, the ID is completely fawked and looks like he made it with a butter knife. However, I didn't pay anything for them and I believe that he is going to try again. Does anyone on this board have the tools and skills to machine some steel sleeves in the size of 16mmID-20mmOD-40mm length? I would love for someone that realizes the importance of a tight slip fit. So no pics for right now. Soon, though, soon.

New pic. This is top clamp that has been drilled for risers and handlebars. Painted the top black and polished the edge. Not the best polishing job, but it was my first time. I also had to cut off the ignition switch mount.
