Sorry to hijack, but OMR where did you get the clamp on passenger pegs? Those look like a good option for my bike.

So i am considering monoshocking the 650 now that the 1000 project is done. So i have 2 requests can you guys post details about each build such as
swingarm - model and year
forks - model and year
and such
This way i can compile an overview and maybe we can make a permanent document so others can just glance at it.
Secondly, how did you guys decide on the shock angle and where to weld the brace? Is there really only one choice of angles once everything is fitted, meaning there really isnt much room to move it. OR was it by design that you placed your shock that way. I am having a hard time matching the angles and numbers of the donor bikes geometry and that is why i ask.

In my case, there wasn't much choice in the angle that the shock is located inside the swingarm. I tried to get it as close as possible to the GSXR setup. Mine was convinient since that 95 GSXR frame while aluminum, is a double cradle type, just like a KZ. I could see where a newer bike with the engine as a stressed member coulc make the upper shock mount significantly different. You just have to be creative with the upper shock mount, and the length of the dog bones to get it all right. I had both bikes right there so my measurements were taken directly. Notice on OMR's bike and porchev914, that their upper mount is triangulated away from the frame. On my bike, I stole the aluminum yoke off the GSXR, and placed the crossmember in the same place. I was just lucky that it was a straight line across the frame.
BTW all of my suspension came from a 1995 GSXR 750 that I bought off CL for $250 with no title. Perfect donor in my eyes.

Like testarossa's build, my mounting locations were duplicated from the donor bike so the suspension would behave as originally designed. None of use wants to be THAT much of a test pilot that we want to take on suspension geometry redesign
My swingarm, linkage and rear wheel came from a local salvage yard for $480. The shock and rear brake caliper came from ebay for $150.
