just tuning in and i love this build, the engine looks amazing, good attention to detail!
1978 kz650 sr- long time project/first bike mostly gone
1979 kz659 sr- new acquisition NEXT project GONE

Both 650s combined to make one great bike! with a new powerplant

it is a 79 frame, 78 front end, both 78 wheels and brakes, 78 body work and a 80' 750-4 motor with gpz 750 cams and a kerker and...

Update. I got distracted. The KZ is on hold for a while because I found a KTM 380EXC with Cali plate! :woohoo: Now I'm swapping parts between all 3 of my KTMs to get all the best stuff on this one and then sell the others. Much work. Flying through the trees on a violent 2 stroke beast is higher priority than working on the KZ. B)

Here I'm swapping in the autoclutch from my 300. OK highjack of my own thread is now over! Stay tuned for future KZ news after I get my new 2 stroke dream bike built!

oh yeah! :woohoo:

when i was a kid we were on vacation in colorado and there was this guy on a big old dual shock enduro running down the highway with the traffic and he had a license plate.we we had taken a whole lot of dirtbikes to colorado to ride,so i was pretty keyed up about bikes anyways.
so this dude is the coolest thing for me to watch going down the road, and then we get to a little trail beside the road and this dude hits the shoulder, brakes and down shifts nails the trail and roosts outta site !

my jaw dropped,i was like that is the coolest thing in the world!
to be able to ride your dirt bike to work and then hit the trails on the way home  .

i recently got my banshee back out after a two year dirt riding hiatus.
two-strokes are freakin awesome!!!!!!!!

Woo hoo! I've been away from the KZ world for a while and here's why. I bought and built up this super badass KTM 380EXC. It's a dual sport 2 stroke with Revloc autoclutch, trials tire, Scotts damper, and more. I've been riding and tweaking it almost every weekend for the last couple months.

Sooo... hopefully I can get back on the KZ project soon. But I still have another KTM to sell and I'm searching for another adventure bike as well... so many bikes, so little time!!
