you know ,some we did grow from seeds...sunflowers mostley..(google "gather the seed" for tips on keeping all the types seeds to make next yrs flowers and veggies..now i don't walk past a flower anywhere without gathering a few dead heads...i have whole painters trays drying with everything under the sun)...but luckily i found a local cvs pharmacy that buys it's six packs from a honest local greenhouse dude...and they were 2.19 a six pack and not all root bound and done growing..,really nice stuff and they get comments from shoppers all day on the quality and prices....

after getting burned on prices and quality at home depot and a bit at target(although they had better stuff and about 1/2 the total $ at checkout compared to home depot)....

so.... when i found the CVS plants i just started stopping everyday after my nightshift and getting 10-15 $ worth,did this for about a wekk everyday stopping to see what came in overnight...before you know it we have a bitchen little country quaint garden set up...as far as bee's sadly they are not so present i've seen like 5 this year...i think the giant produce fields of california and the night spraying may be at fault...

but i have two bird baths and four seeeded feeders going full time as well as food scraps...so the 50-75 full time birds probably scare or eat most bugs...

anyhow it has been fun..i have not had a garden spot in 25 yrs...and wanted to do one badly...here is picture of a sit on the top of the ground compost bin i made ,it can be moved to new spot when the area becomes full and started over...potato volunteers peeking out of it

last one...this was our first little spot and the whole rest of the property had grown over for yrs....

this is just taking hold and will be a jam packed event soon...the mums and petunia's returned from stubs from last septembers efforts and grew to like our best yet this year....peace...off to feed wild pigs with the nieces...

lost my normal trimmings score spot...produce guy said soemone sued the palce for getting free trims and getting sick...what a world...found a line on some boxes of toosed veggies so pics later....peace...C'MON weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!

just to bring it back to the MKII...here is how it looks beofre the build starts

Nice 33's. I had a set on my MKII with a 1045 kit and a 1229 kit and they always ran excellent - no flat spots that I could feel. I switched to a new set of 34 flat slides when I went with the 1260 rebuild and I don't like them. I just can't get used to the clacking. I am actually considering going back to the VM33 round slides. Of course, if money were no object I'd have a nice new set of Keihin CR 35 or 37 round slides. Nearly a grand is a bit much at the moment. Anyway, let us know how the 33's work out. I think you'll like 'em.

i'm gonna post a few shots of the day off...fed wild pigs a guy keeps in a pen...kids went nuts...

they were wild and the city was exterminating a herd that had become town raiders...he scored a few off his city worker buddy before they loaded em to remove...has been breeding them for a good ten yrs since then...he'll sell you a pig or a baby one...and just lets folks come and feed em...they are some tough pigs...snap a sweet potato like eating butter

these are his neighbors but they always get a bit when we show up...amazing what the grocers throw away...we got a trunk load in about 30 minutes

hit the beach for some body surfing with the nieces and the golf deal had a blimp circling...baby sea lions are everywhere and just got weened so they are half starving and too weak to be scared...some stupid chick actualy tried to pet this one after i took the shot...almost took her hand off...idiot...protected marine sanctuary and folks think it's a puppy

surfing u,s,a...this one will go anywhere and do everthing that is available ...bodysurfing and catching waves in near to wetsuit water....what a kid
