I am gonna get some dyna coils soon for the MKII...but untill then i may need to see what yr's kz coil will work for now while i work/shakedown rides ect...(i have both z-i orig and jmodel police orig extras).......the current MKII one on the right as you sit on the seat looking down...is cracked /split like a muffin on it's gray body.....but the bike rode home fine and i even rode it up the street after seeing the split..it ran good???still i wanna replace it/pair??

Anyone know if other yrs are gonna work...i know the j cop bike coils are common on e-bay..i probably wanna either get the same as the stock MKII grey one on there now...or if another models will work- a matching set...anyone got old extra ones they wanna sell or barter for???

info on which yrs work will be great....thanks....craig

MK11 has 2.2 ohm coils with a ballast resistor. If you remove the ballast resistor you can use 3. ohm coils. It will also still run fine if you remove the ballast resistor and use the 2.2 ohm coils. I'm not saying that's right or you should, I'm just saying it will work.
see number 16.

cool i figured the cop coils or stock z-1 might be okay...i kinda get what your saying...just until i spring for dyna coils...

anyone have any experience with the rounder style andrews yellow coils...they seem to show up used in auctions and go a tad less than dynas imo...any good?

i do see they usually have hose clamps for mounting...

Dude! I think you have a problem with the word "touching", "toucher". So tell us what part of the header "touched". Was it the tip?

I see you got the sidecover! Bully! I like that. I can't wait till July rolls around! Hope my bike is finished by then. I told you she has a new name? Lyndsay Wagner. Was looking at a titz 03 zrx1200 with 21k on click but new like the day she was sold with aftermarket stuff to perdy her up. Was thinking of taking a breather and just buying the bike so that I have one to ride until mine is done. Guy wants 4k for her. Big chunk of cash and top dollar for that bike but well worth it IMO. It's blue which is very FN IMO Never saw a nicer one, in fact never have seen one in blue before but 4k?! Ouch, it's a stretch.

Oh, and that shit is SCARY. You lead a dangerous life my friend! I loaded my bike and unloaded it on my landscapers truck the day I was stranded and he was just a few blocks away. He gladly picked it up and we loaded it on a small plank from the side of the truck. I about shit myself when the header banged on the plank and the bike tipped. My heart was racing harder than moto gp. The truck was higher off of the ground than your bench. I will never ever do that again. My nerves were frayed but when I got home even worse trying to unload it from the truck. To heck with that, I will buy a rack that was made for my bike or build one with a much wider and longer plank. That you have Amy to think about remember shit always happens when you least expect it. Look at Yianni, after all those years loading bikes on to his truck with the appropriate ramps and he blows out his biceps on a simple maneuver he has done a million times. :S

I may end up riding my 79 to Cali in July if my bike isn't finished by then. I have been cleaning it up and trying to put it back together. Thank God I didn't sell those 29s and pods.Ordering some new intakes and hopefully by next week I will be riding. We had fun loading it in to the truck without wheels. So I am going to borrow a few parts from the eighty until I get the rest of the stuff done. She should look nice and smoke nice too.
