Hello all I desperately news a picture of the electrical component location for my 1980 kz1000 mark2 ! I tore bike completely down for full restoration ,powder coat and paint but forgot to photograph location of electical components to reinstall like factory. Anyone that could help would greatly apriciate! P.s. Must be for mark2 chain drive because shaft drive is different.

A.T.K fork brace...just given to me by a friend and is impossible to find imo....

hand made block off plates with countersunk bolt surfaces and engraved K for kawi

still need a seat cover and smoothbores ..steel lines and it's stickers and paint...black beauty

gold powder coat rims and maybe dish the 500 on a kerker if the morwaki is holding back the theme thingy....

got a line on a paint job .......


anyone know where reproductions of those sponsor stickers(or actaul stickers) can be located????

i watch e-bay for vintage stickers and have got cool ones ,but it'sd hit and miss with that stufff.....

nothing changed yet... i wonder,i pull the motor and bench it, if things could be taped off and nuts and screws capped to do a quick light coats engine scheme in MKII blacks...seems the p.o stripped it..i checked and the #'s say it's a japan omnly MKII motor that matches the vin and paperwork...so it must have had work and a stripping...

craig are you looking for 29's or 33 smoothies.

i have 28 pumpers on the MKII now,and wanna try cleaning em to see if thats why it was cranking and not firing...only kicking...i have a lot of updates as listed to install..the crakced coil may be a cause...or battery or a wire i'll chase it down...

can i just put the bowls off of a set of kz900 26's onto the 28's and eliminate the pumper bowl on the one carb and linkage???
i know north boys dont have the pumpers right?but thought you might know
i figure one set of 29's will eventually go for under 340 and i will try and snipe....

this one is headed to japan soon i hear...oh well...

i ended up with a set of 28 pumper carbs that the pumps where all messed up on and i think all i did was use the jetting from a set of 26's and the float bowls as well but that was at least 15 years ago so i'm not sure i may have just blocked or disabled the pumps as well i'm really not sure the old mind isn't what it used to be you know.the 70's and early 80's where very good to me you know. i have a set of 29's but i'm using them on my red hotrod but you never know i'm always on the lookout and i nknow alot of racers so i may find something usable for this summer i'll be looking.

Great find, enjoyed reading thru the thread. You guys are mentioning 28pumpers. I have a set of carbs that I got e=when I ordered a set for my 550. They arent for a 550 , and they have an accelerator pump on one cyl as mentioned above. I'll attach a pic. Are these the 28 pumpers for a 1000 that you guys are talking about ?
