Well, I couldn't argue with her and well it's finally cooled down enough (90*F) to start on the old girl....

So Stript her down & removed the engine and started wire wheeling off the frame paint....

Here' we go.....

Naw, I actually enjoy doing it myself... I know, I know, gluten for punishment... But I do enjoy it, a little hard work, time to myself to think and watch the progress in doing it myself....

This also gives me a better view of the frame welds or finding any cracks I'll need to re-weld up...

The game plan is to do this as cheap as possible... Now that doesn't mean cut corners or do it half ass... just translates into a well tuned running KZ, nothing performance, for the most part just a clean stock build....

if i ever did another project bike, the 1st thing i would get is a blast cabinet. i had to do all mine at a freinds shop. they are the cats ass. particularly for all of the small parts. after blast and repaint every part looks like brand new. :)

So it begins....

Finally got off my ass and got the following accomplished...

* Frame stripped, initial sand blast, frame jig fabbed.
* Engine out of the frame.
* Engine stripped, cases split and initial case cleaning.

Pistons, cylinders, valve/combustion chambers look surprisingly decent...
