I was out in the shop cleaning up and the old girl (78KZ1000) Yelled @ me...
"Hey OMR you old asshole, when you going to get off your ass and start working on me?... You Suck!"
Well, I couldn't argue with her and well it's finally cooled down enough (90*F) to start on the old girl....
So Stript her down & removed the engine and started wire wheeling off the frame paint....
Here' we go.....

Naw, I actually enjoy doing it myself... I know, I know, gluten for punishment... But I do enjoy it, a little hard work, time to myself to think and watch the progress in doing it myself....
This also gives me a better view of the frame welds or finding any cracks I'll need to re-weld up...
The game plan is to do this as cheap as possible... Now that doesn't mean cut corners or do it half ass... just translates into a well tuned running KZ, nothing performance, for the most part just a clean stock build....

if i ever did another project bike, the 1st thing i would get is a blast cabinet. i had to do all mine at a freinds shop. they are the cats ass. particularly for all of the small parts. after blast and repaint every part looks like brand new.

So it begins....
Finally got off my ass and got the following accomplished...
* Frame stripped, initial sand blast, frame jig fabbed.
* Engine out of the frame.
* Engine stripped, cases split and initial case cleaning.
Pistons, cylinders, valve/combustion chambers look surprisingly decent...
