OMR's 1978 KZ1000-B2 LTD

OMR gives birth to a bouncing new baby girl...

Isn't she just so gorgeous.... :blink:

Ok, not so much now for all new born look like aliens when they come out.... But she's a healthy baby girl...

For the most part, just clean up, elbow grease, buffing, painting, minor electrical re-wiring, brake lines & caliper rebuild, tires, carb rebuild kits, chain & sprockets and tune up....

For the engine, stock cams and build especially since odometer displays 10K miles... I realize this may not be accurate but with compression & leak down tests and a peak at the piston tops may just get lucky.... Not too mention it didn't smoke when started...

I kept all the good parts (speedo/tach cluster, tail fender, Mik 26mm carbs etc...) off my KZ900 build and low & behold, direct swap outs! Sweet!

Coils are cracked but work... No matter though, Dyna S coils and ignition for this old girl...

Going to keep her stock for a cruiser with the wife... Nice soft LTD seat with a back rest to enjoy the cruise....

I already have a line on the decals but I think I may just paint the silver with red pin stripe on the tank, side covers and tail section....

I've gotten pretty good at it now and still to the untrained eye, they still can't believe it's can paint...

My 900 paint has held up phenomenally well even in the AZ heat... Gas no problem due to non can clear coat so good to go....

im trying not to be too hard on his new find here! :laugh: but now that you mention it those are obviously the wrong valve stem caps also,you got hosed on that one! :laugh:
