DOH is right, it's kind of ironic but the only reason I spent the 50 bucks on the APE was to avoid this very thing happening! Those little japanese guys in the 70's at the kawasaki factory were smarter than me after all! Hopefully I dodged a bullet and learned a scary ass lesson. I will know for sure this weekend if things are truly ok. I guess when I put the 1135 kit on I will be getting a new cam chain :)

OH, and btw, once I get her nice and washed and polished up I am taking some proper pics. I have to say that I truly love the way my bike looks after my work this winter...I swear I got a half shaft looking at her idling away...

no doubt, if it was spinning fast I can only imagine the carnage!

I know it's embarrassing laying on the pavement turning a wrench in the evening when everybody is on the balcony after dinner, but c'mon, what's wrong with women today when a man working on a motorcycle upsets them. Like I said, thank god I am moving out, I have a feeling she is complaining to the super today...I was not exactly happy with the bike at the moment, all I needed was a woman other than my gf giving me grief about my bike...we had words.

Yup but I didn't do a half-ass job at it... Dent my ass, I busted her wide open....

That was a really bad day... Not to mention Plum laughing at me going... "Well, what did you do that for"....

Seriously, at my worst moment he had to add that into the mix... I had the 2 pound sledge in my hand ready to go to town on that case.... "Oh you want to play do ya, mess with my mind do ya, well take that you sonsabitch".....

I do need to take some pics, I have been busy moving and fixing up the new (really old) house so I have had little time to do my carb synch and final carb tuning, or riding for that matter.

BTW This is a couple weeks old but I something cool happened during the local "ride for dad" prostate cancer charity ride. my gf and I (who weigh in at 420 pounds) rode on my kz with my buddy and his gf (maybe 280 pounds together) on his 2008 zx6r. With my bikes carbs NOT tuned properly yet, he said that he had to really keep on the throttle to keep up with us all day...he said that with his gf on the back the bike is a pain to ride...I am so glad I decided to fix up my old bike!
