Z1 900 making my dads old bike look new *now Pics*

starting to get it together are we.

lol......ya finally, i have all the parts minus the wiring harness, lock set, and i just sent my guages to bob at z-resto. Hopefully tommorow i will get the motor in the frame and start assembling it. Should be ready before to long.......just in time for sturgis, i wanna gewt it done before then so i can work out the bugs. I want it to run nice and smooth for my trip there.

hurry up man, haha. Sturgis is creepin up fast! The 810 is up and running and at school with me now. Turns a few heads u could say. Just think of how many heads will turn when we are in sturgis with a whole pack of angry old kawasaki's :evil:

Thanks for the compliments guys.........getting the frame prepped and painted was a pain in the ass......but im glad its done. My harley neighbor came over today, and thought the frame was made out of real alluminum.......Now that the frame is out of the way it will go together quickly. Don, i hope i keep moving at this rate and i dont slow down......lol. Oh, Mark1122 thanks for the progressive front springs.

Well i havent been working as hard on the bike because i started a job at a machine shop and there working me like a dog....lol. But i kicked butt on it today, i got the motor in the frame, the mag wheels on, and i mounted the sidewinder pipe......man does it look mean. I did't even notoce until my friend who was helping me said, it looks like its streched.....i think its just all the new parts, and the despretlly needed front fork springs. Im going to be able to run my kz650 front fender and everything up there clears even with the progressive fork springs compressed. Now it looks like an actual bike again. And of coarse i forgot my camera, so i will snap a few pics for all of you tommorow.

Ok, so today has been fighting me since i woke up. I went to take the mustang to het the nut's and lock washers to mount my sidewinder exhaust, and i broke the key off, thank god my buddy had an extra set of keys made when he had the car. I got to home depot only to find out they had every other but known to man except the ones i needed, so i had to drive another 8 miles out of my way to get them. S stopped of at work to get my check only to find out that they wont have them till tommorow . Then i went to work on the bike, i figured maby my luck will change and i will get something productive done.........nope. I went to turn the motor over with the kicker only to find out its stuck in place........so with me finding my self like i wanted to punch a hole in the wall, i decided to go and get a bottle of automatic trans fluid and pour some down the cylinders in hopes it will free it up.
