10-4 on the aviation stripper. I used the kind in a spray can to strip my rims and various parts and worked great. If you use the spray don't let the wind blow it on to you or you will know it quick. Don't ask how I know this.B)

Ya i would imagine it would burn your skin pretty good. I had a friend a couple years ago, who was cleaning off his rotors on his car with brake parts cleaner in a spray can, well it sprayed back and gave him some nasty burns on his face and such.

Here are a few shots of the engine covers, i have finished wetsanding them and getting all the grime and haze off and such. Now comes the fun and messy part of polishing them.:laugh: :laugh: :)

mothers aluminum polish at any auto store and a lot of clean rags......

Oh i forgot to say, me and my buddy have attacked this motor for 3 or 4 strait days, to night we finally got it looking good. Got all the old paint off and the 35 years of dirt grime and abuse off.......lol. We used brake parts cleaner, scotch brite pads and copper pan scouring pads. It worked really well. But as usual i forgot to bring my camera to snap pics, so when i get over there monday i will take pics.
