Cylinders 3 & 4, not bad normal carbon build up, it should clean up nicely with seafoam and gasoline.

And here is a hot with the front mag wheel mounted, the wheels definatly change the look and feel of the bike for the better i think..........that is until i can come up with the funds to send my wheels to buchanon's for new spokes and such..............ah one day hopefully.

Well i also found out the front fork sprinks are kissed, because the bike dosent have any spring in the front end and they are below the service wear measurment, so some nice new progressive fork springs, fork seals and dust covers are in order fom jeff at Z1. I also have to order my comlete engine gasket kit...........does anybody know if the complete engine gasket set is the same for the kz 900?, because there is one on e-bay right now. Im also going to get a brand new wiring harness.

I wan't to get that crappy black chipped paint off the motor. Any ideas on how to go about that task? I was thinking carb spray cleaner and a scotch brite pad?

I have always used auto paint stripper. Wear gloves and rinse parts with soapy water then blow dry.You then could bead blast or soda blast them. They will look better than new!

Andrews 4x cams are .430" lift 286* duration. those are to0 much for a stock head and require shim under buckets and clearancing so the lobes dont hit the head. I have similar cams in my head.I have the spec sheet. i can email it to u if u need it.

Don't use anything that will harm the Aluminum. I buy the Zep Citrus cleaner at Home Depot and use it on my whole engine. It cleaned out my combustion chambers like they were new. If it is the stock engine paint that came on the bike, the only thing I would use would be Aviation grade Paint stripper which is designed for aluminum and is one of the few things that will take it off. I however find that throwing the entire head in the Citrus cleaner and letting it soak for as long as it takes works wonders.

Ya i seen the aviation grade stripper at walmart the other day. I will have to get over there soon and get some. I will post some pics when i get the paint off. Otakar i have seen that Zep citrus cleaner at home depot, but was hesitant to get it because i didn't know how it would work. I will pick some up the next time im in there. Can i put the whole head in the Zep cleaner? Or do i have to dissasemble it?
