Yes, something has to be done, hmm.

Well, i have to check this closer, i am still waiting for the machinist and triple tree, and some more paint for the engine halfs.

I think i soon have all the engine parts i need to rebuild it.

I also will buy hydraulic clutch set, they got it on the americanclassix.com, but if anyone knows about something cheaper that fits?
I only need the slave cylinder, i got all the other stuff from the Busa.

Then its this swing arm question, after what i heard on z1ownersclub.co.uk, the TL1000R swing is a better option for me, since i got the Suzuki wheels allready, because of the brace will make trouble for me on the Hayabusa swing.
On the TL1000R the brace is on the underside original, so its easier to make the chain and so to fit.

And finally, the speedometer issue...there are lots of nice instruments out there...

E-92, that's up in the cold north of Norway, close to the Russian border, where ice bears goes amok on innocent and not so innocent tourists,

But around Bergen and Westcoast of Norway you can find these:

Lots of similar roads and fjords around here.

And, for you my friend:

The Fantoft stave church, just 10-15 minutes from me.

Here is the site for that cool ;P instrument

Roy, I have the hydraulic clutch mod on my bike, I had my mechanic/machinest cut & weld a flat plate on the sprocket cover and used the slave cyl. off of a 1985 900 Ninja. It turned out really nice, I'm also using "Performance Machine" master cyl. on my handlebars. I'll post some pics later today for you. And I agree Rush Rocks (lol) I seen them twice back in the 70's (disco still sucks)(LOL!)when I was a teenager.... Chronicals (double live album) is one of my favorites. Doug

RoyNor,
Great stuff! Gald to see that if you're going to all this effort you are going to improve the suspension with the inverted stuff...my favorite mod. Keep up the good work, and the great 'step-by-step' pics!!!

Thank you! ;)

I think the suspension and brakes is the number one to improve, that is the important bit on these bikes. :P

I couldn't agree more. I appreciate what some will do for the sake of 'periodesque-ness', but I prefer to ride my bikes in a manner that most would consider to be very hard. I have put inverted front ends on my 'J' project, and on my 'ELR Clone' project, and I have one for my Z1R and one for my GS1150ES (if I keep it; if I don't it's going on my CB9/11F). I love the wider 17"s, the tire selection they offer, the vastly superior handling, traction, braking performance (and you don't get nearly the flex from the inverted forks), the bike us just so much more 'composed', not to mention the weight savings. It is far-and-away the best, most effective modification that I have ever done to any of the (over 50) bikes that I have owned. Plus, it just looks cool!

Anyway, your project rocks, keep those pics comin' and when school is finally out I will return the favor with pics of my stuff. You've got two of my all-time favorite bikes and you're doing my kind of mods; please, do carry-on with my blessings B) and my appreciation for your projects!
