GOLD SYNTHETIC ENFORCED CARBON!
Yes, and i can tell you that it is a nightmare to cut those gold threads, but after the resin is hardened it is no problem, but before? --->>
Here is the 1000J tank, in Europe we have similar tank to the 1000R, not that "custom looking" US have.
Those q tip are removed BEFORE I dragged the carbon over, otherwise they would tear the carbon cloth.
After a very long an accurate degreasing on the tank its time to measure out how the cloth will actual fit.
Now the Q tip and those two bolts on top are back, otherwise I never would find those holes again.
After one layer with resin, I started on saturday, an still I am working on it, two layers a day, using rubbergloves massaging in the resin, 8 layers total pr today.
Also working on the headlight.
And a little view of the rear light. The template.
I will fill the rear light up with LED,s. :woohoo:

Hey, I have been following this project of yours... SOOO jealous! It's my dream bike man; every time I come back there is always another surprise. Keep it up and I'll have to convince you to trade bikes with me :woohoo:
I really want to know how to get that gold color! I looked up some gun-kote stuff and I've found 'yellow' and 'bright brass.' Where do I get your color!?

Hey! Where the heck did you get those??? I'm lookin' for a set! They are indeed frame braces that are supposed to increase tortional rigidity (something NEEDED when the power doubles).

Thanks Leon.
So, I have done a little work, I will try to make some decent work again now.
OK, lets go to the pics.
Here is the third head...GPZ1100, or as you in the US will say, ZX1100 85model.
I will use this because it only needs some valve lapping, but I will of course use my Neway cutting tool on those other heads I allready have Gun-Koted.
After Gun-Koting. The head with product 3401 Flat Black.
And before I forget it, its a thin layer with some kind of protection on all the Busa parts, it really looks like its clean metal, but its not. I reckon its a common thing on all newer brands and bikes. On the right its still there.
Here is the secret storeroom... Be aware of the ELR frame, its blasted and primed, and the Wiseco 1262cc cylinder and pistons, ready for some action... But not yet...
Here is the head, ready for some lapping.
Here is the stem seals, from Suzuki, as they have a better reputation for being tougher and more solid.
Waiting for the new head....:woohoo:
New cam bearings.
New shim, from my little store room.
Here is one of the four copper gasket on the head.
After a LPG heating and straight to...
A glass with some old Pepsi, they look like this.
AND LOOK AT THIS...
OK, Norway is not actually flowing over with 13mm shims, but that dont say that you have to make our own...
This is from one old head I received with some other parts I bought.
Luckily enough, the guy who did this is driving Harley Davidson now, I hope that he will continue with that.
So, I am in a flow now, next now is the swingarm, more to come...:woohoo:
