Yes the engine is the next move now I think, Will Gun-Kote that 1000R head tomorrow I think.

One favor .. your information about Gun-Kote 2400, blasting the head and the picture is very helpfull for me. When you get done with the Gun-Kote on that head and show the picures, could you, please, go into much detail on how you did it. Peparation, curing & oven times, temperature, etc.

Looking nice there RoyNor . I painted my forks black too.it looks sweet.i desided to go less bling and more black.so far it is turning out awesome.imo.i fist polished the outer edge of the rims and painted the center 3 spokes red to match the tank.then i changed my mind and painted the polished rim black. i will get some pics up latter.
Your bike is going to be an eye poper.
can u get the pore15 and gun cote in a satin black that match eack other?

And my wife complains about re-building in the garage...

Well, this is the way I am doing it, people got different ways to do this.
I am following the directions on the labels.

First its necessary to clean the part, every oil stain and dried dirt have to be removed.

Then I sandblast the part.
If its a head or so, you of course need to mask it with some ducttape or similar.
Anyway the sand will get in, but not that direct.

I use to wash the part with hot water after blasting, let it dry, before I degrease it just before I put it in the oven for preheating. I am using the airbrush and spray the degreaser on the parts.

Preheating is 120 degrees F.
You reduce the risk of runs and open the pores when you preheat.

Then out of the oven after the part is preheated, use the air to brush away dust, if there are some.

Then paint.
Using a cheap airbrush. I am using oilless aircompressor
