Now, the header pipe can do the job for which it has been designed. I hope that the 10-12 hours I have spent porting and polishing will pay off in the ponies (hell Clydesdales)for which I am looking. With the 1135 kit in this motor the .435 lift cams and the 33mm SBs, believe I can get into the low TENS.

I have some very nice 13.5:1 Venolia 1135cc Pistons just itching to get DIRTY. But before anyone starts spouting about not being able to run those on the street..... With the 84 GPZ head and the fact that they are for the erlier non-J engine i'll be down to about 10:1 installed. Besides.... I run 100 Octane Aviation Low led anyways.

I decided to try and fit the cams I have into the head and had a bad surprise  The lobes rub inside the tunnels  A bit more cam than the stock head will take I guess. The funny part is that at the bucket ramps there is gobs of room, just on the way down two of the lobes touch the casting. It is not much but I guess the Dremmel work is not finished yet. At the top edge where the valve cover gasket goes I have about .040" (1.0mm). This means that the cam channels are not round I guess. One good thing is that now I know that I am stuffing as much cam in there as will fit. :woohoo: I have also been keeping up with another thread talking about some Nitrogen shocks from some Frenchman on eBay. They look really nice and I am thinking of getting a set for this bike and save the new ones I have on it now for my Z1-R with the GS1100 swing-arm.

The company that makes these is Tye. This is not to say that they are actually made in Tyeland, they might still be made in China. This makes no difference to me as long as they are relyable and strong enough for my bike.
