I am located in Niles MI and have ridden from here to Singing Caves National Park and the sturgis rally in the same year on my 05 zx6r and from here to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on my previous vintage bike a 72 S2 triple. I loved both bikes for the long haul but I had to stop frequently on the zx6r to stretch my legs. The KZ is much more comfortable. This will just be my first long distance ride on the ZED. I completely stopped riding the zx6r except for trackdays. The KZ is the perfect comprise for sportiness and comfort.

Maybe we could start a rally that begins in Michigan (New Buffalo?) That goes to Wildcat Mountain area in Wisconsin.

I suggest starting a new thread for any new rally. AND Yes, count me in on a Wildcat Mountain rally.

About five miles to home...one last pit stop. Quite an adventure thus far. I will start uploading the video sometime tomorrow and post links to YouTube. No guarantees as to how long it takes as my upload speeds are garbage.

Here are a few links of the riding that was caught on video. They took alll night to upload. There are several more. unedited clips uploading and it very well may take the rest of the week to post up as my upload speeds are slower than molasses. Wish I would have known this before I elected ATT as my cable provider. :P
I hope you guys enjoy it.

Thanks for posting the videos. Really good quality for the Go Pro being strapped to your chest.

Here are a couple more pics from Wednesday coming back from Four Corners between Pagosa Springs and Wolf Creek Pass on U.S. 160 We stopped for a waterfall and then moved on back to South Fork. But first my little ole KZ650 gobbled too much gas vs. air going up Wolf Creek Pass. I had to pull over and restart a basically flooded engine due to me pinning the throttle trying to get up the pass! :S    Made it up the pass and back to South Fork with Jack staying with me.

Thursday August 7th we all rode up CO Rt 149, known as the Silver Thread Scenic Byway. This is one amazing road. B) We rode up to Creede, CO where we stopped to check out an old mine.

Old mine and canyon at Creede, CO.

Next we stopped at the headwaters of the Rio Grande. Beautiful scenery! I even contributed to headwaters!

Then it was up Slumgullion Pass and then back down to Lake City for lunch. I had a Buffalo Burger! :P

We then split from Daryl & Dave at U.S. 50. They headed to twisty Black Canyon heaven/hell and the rest of us headed over to Gunnison for fuel and to hook up with CO Rt 114. It threatened rain by the buckets but once I put on my rain suit we were guaranteed to stay dry! We turned back to South Fork. It was a great day and there was more to come.
