Spdygon i am pretty sure you will have problems with twinshocking the Gullarm :( Due to its design the only place to weld the mounts on to is all the way at the back. Which im sure would be too far.

You might need to get hold of a Traditional 89-91 swingarm.

Leon.....arm is from a 93 gsxr 1100
Puffin....was thinking to weld on the right side first then take the measurement for the left side and make the holder higher to match the right side. Or do you think the wall on the arm is to thin?

I haven't done this swap, so I'm talking out me arse here, but I'd recommend welding in the mounts for the monoshock.

spdygon,
sorry i just didn't put two and two together from the first pic with the square tube leg i didn't realize it was the same arm from the first pic  .
you could do the mounts as you say and not expect to have problems if the mounts are properly machined and fitted.

imho,

Good work Spdygon ! That looks great  and at the same time, gives me a severe feeling of "Déjà vu" :woohoo:

my J as was, now going back to twin shock B)

If your going to keep the Clipons you will need to mount them under the top tree or you loose too much ground clearance. shock mounts will be fine as long as they done wright.

So the Have not done much with the bike still need a welder.
But I have been buying parts....alot from z1enterprize.
Have anyone bout the footpeg from American classix? They are $269.00 if someone has them please show pics. Will they be able to connect to any rear master cylinder or just to the original KZ one?
Also how do I remove the bolts that hold the front foot peg on my kz1k?
Thx

You can use two nuts , and tighten them with two wrenches. Then use socket or wrench and turn them out. They are threaded into frame. Hope this helps.

Having the rolling chassis I think I might have swapped the kz engine into the gsxr and made it into like a Harris style kz! :silly:

Sorry spdygon for the late reply been way too busy lately :( swingarm No in that photo i had replaced the Gullarm with a normal 750 arm. Mine is different frame with the later motor so i can not help you with offset.
Have a word with Leon Blackbanshee he will be able to sort you out ;)
Have your parts arrived yet and do you have a photo of those footrests you refer too ?
