I was thinking about denting the tank a little, will it not damage the inside?
These coils are part of the Dyna 2000 kit.
I will make a bracket which will turn them inwards so that I have more space for the other cables.
Are you sticking to the old points ignition David?

The other issue I found that when the coils are too close together they can cause a miss now and then.
First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, 1983 fully recon motor fitted LOVE THIS BIKE
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as FJ above)

Yup,Im staying with the original gear for now.I might change later but I just cleaned everything up and put it back together. It did work before I took the bike off the road.Fingers crossed.
P.S. I just sent you a PM on a different subject.

Cleaning the inside of the tank.
Seen a lot of different mixtures but my tank was not that dirty so tried it with 2 liter real Coca Cola.
Turned out nice so then I bought 18 liters cheap crappy Coke
Let it rest for a while and then a lot of flushing.
So done withe liquid department on to the nerve center.
Made a bracket for the Dyna and next job is the wiring loom.

Extended the wires of my left handle bar.
Cut them and then soldering 15cm long pieces of wire in between.
Gives me more flexibility but 11 wires X 2 soldering is 22 changes of failure
Also had to relocate my bracket for the Dyna unit because I forgot that this was also the space for my circuit brakers.
And cut the extra long piece of the coils.
I believe these where for mounting them on a Suzuki or Yamaha so don't need them and gives me more room for cables.
Also charged my new battery, hope to connect everything this weekend and have the engine turned to check compression.
Anyone have some good figures for this?
When I tried it with the kickstarter the figures where around 90.
