Got some work done today. Got my new seat in today. It looks pretty bad ass. Didn't even have to move anything for it to fit right.
Also got my brake stay made. I got the ZRX brake hanger to fit right by shaving it by 1/8" and then made a new spacer to get the wheel centered again. Also got my new brake line on
How she sits as of now

Got a little more done. All smaller stuff. Got the other seat hinge welded on. Also adjusted the support for the tail fairing to raise it up a bit.

have you worked out the paint scheme, are you painting it or contracting the job?.
On a side note, regarding the braided lines for cooler. I have braided lines on my Z1R and considering the low oil pressure I will never fit these again, apart from the fact that they are harder to bend (not a problem in your case because of your routing) and eventually the braid starts to fray, now when I work around the lines I get scratches on my arms and sometimes the braid jabs into me. When I can afford it I'll get them changed out. Food for thought.

I plan on painting it myself. I will be trying to stick to ELR colors. I will be using Synergy Green as my base. They were a bit of a pain to make. I learned the hard way that it helps if you tape the ends before you cut them and then leave the tape after fitting the ends.

Interesting can't wait to see how the painting comes out, are you doing two pack or acrylic (sorry to ask so many questions but I'm building the same as you are- GPZ1100).
The braid problem I have is not from the assembly connections, its actually the braid that has worn over the years and is actually splitting the wires (especially around the carby manifolds). I hate them, as stated due to the low pressure I'll use rubber hoses next time but my hoses run under the tank and don't have to look pretty.

Guess I won't be in a hurry then. They have phony SS covers for the lines at AZ and other places. Anodized fittings with built in hose clamps too. I might get some just for looks.

I may be wrong, but I swear it looks as if your front tire is mounted backwards (not the wheel). The directional tread pattern looks correct on the rear.
