Just thinking out loud, :unsure: wouldn't it look better if the blue fittings were black? to match the paint job, :unsure:

1980 LTD 1000..,1976 LTD 900, have the 1000&900 now. the rest are previous= 1978 KZ 650 B.., 1980 Yamaha XT 500..,1978 Yamaha DT 400.., 1977 Yamaha yz 80..,Honda trail ct 70.., Honda QA 50...5-1/2 hp brigs & straton CAT chopper mini bike...3-1/2 hp mini bike (WHEN GAS WAS ABOUT 45 CENTS A GALLON)!!!!

I looked for all black connections. I got all of the fittings and braided hose as a kit for much cheaper then it would have cost me to piece it together.

Great progress, I'm also making up a GPZ1100 hybrid but the clothes on mine aren't as pretty, as mine is mostly assembled from spare parts I had in the shed (I had the push the redback spiders away to re-claim my stuff)

First Permanent ride the Z1R since Dec1977 (220,000km) as of June 2015
Second permanent bike 1989 FJ1200 dyno'd 140RWH, great bike.
Third ride is now the Frankenstein 1981 GPZ1100B1, 1983 fully recon motor fitted LOVE THIS BIKE
Forth my work bike FJ1200 1989 (same type as FJ above)

That's a thought. I could use the same stuff that I painted the engine with. Satin black duracoat

Why do some 1000s have the oil cooler and some do not? My 80 1000E does not. R

I had to buy a piece to replace the oil pressure sensor housing so I could run one

Got the exhaust mounted for good. Also picked up a sprocket cover/clutch plate from Kipkawa. I widened the spot for the clutch release to fit a hydraulic clutch from a ZX7. I am also getting the wiring sorted bit by bit including getting the Dyna S wired up. I just ordered new 8mm wires to match my Dyna coils. Progress should pick up again. I took a break from the KZ to get my Honda painted and cleaned up. And since we all love pictures, I leave you with a picture of my 81 Honda Supersport
