So I found a small problem...
No charging components at all. I have sourced a stator. Currently looking for a generator.
And some goodies...
Got the matching rear wheel for a steal with rotor, cush drive and sprocket. Still waiting on the forks and swing arm.

No worries. Thanks for the reply. It looks like they took the generator and cut it down to save rotating weight. I found a used one on eBay so I guess that's my only option at this point.

Pulled off the valve cover today. Also took at look at the pickup and it appears that I have a Dyna pick up. Also cut the old foot peg mounts and started prepping the frame for the new ones.

That doesn't look like the right exhaust cam. No worm drive for the tach. The fitting is there. I'm afraid it's going to be up hill all the way on this one. I wouldn't even try it unless a Bobber is all you want.

I'm wondering if they took another intake cam and swapped it out. I've seen threads here about that. I wasn't planning on using a mechanical tach so I'm not worried about it. What do you mean? I'm not looking for an easy project. If I was I would just buy all ltd parts and put it back together in its stock form.

They might be some other kind of cams. Measure them and let us know. As for the work, as long as you know what you're in for, it's your baby.

Will do. One of my other bikes is a heavily modified Honda CB750F. I've been working on it off and on since I got home from Iraq. I may not be the most skilled fabricator but I enjoy the challenge and the learning process. I didn't know anything about bikes until I decided to rip apart my CB. I've learned a lot over the last 5 or so years and want to learn more. One of the reasons I'm here is that this place is a wealth of knowledge on all things KZ.

I noticed you went with RFY shocks. from personal experience I can tell you in stock form they are not that great. Not horrible, and improvement over my stock shocks for sure. Chris Livengood rebuilds these shocks. He states the construction is good but the some of the internals need work. He replaces the internal spring, oil and then fills them with nitrogen. Even with is charge to rebuild them your cheaper than entry level progressives. Here is a link to his site.

I'll give the site a look bud. Thanks. I've got them on my Honda as well and they perform about as well as I expected since they are so cheap.

My shaft (e model??) tank came in today. I was able to get it to fit with very minimal modifications. Just had to widen the tunnel a bit. Once I get my hand on some side covers and a seat I will know if its sitting low enough, It does hook right in to front of the frame so I know that the front is sitting right.
