My eyes keep going back to the Suzuki!  I had an '83 GS750E that I put almost 60k miles on.  Can you spill some info (without going too far off the topic).
Sure skidmark,
1983 GS11es with some "period correct" upgrades. Astralite wheels, Fox Shox, Sandy Kosman rotors, Spondon calipers, Metmachex swingarm, 35mm Keihin CR Special carbs, Motogpwerks exhaust and RaceTech GSXR11 forks recently added

no,no,no slayer61, a Titanium Win Maccoy made by Bull Dog is a state of the art exhaust!

My Marving looks like a (compare) scrap metal exhaust.

I was pretty proud of my Motogpwerks pipe, but those are stunning pipes!

doesn't need to be a Kerker, but if you are after that i would find a used one on ebay. I have read that their quality has gone down hill lately. If i were looking for a sweet performance exhaust I would check out MotoGPwerks.

Looking to do a conversion to accommodate a 160-180 tire.

I suggest looking into the modern CALFAB swingarms made by MotoGPWerks . They are made in the US and are comparable in quality and price to those Japanese units.

CALFAB was the big name in aluminum swingarms in the early 80s. MotoGPwerks bought the rights to the name and is making excellent reproductions (I have one). The first two links below are hybrids. Period style reproductions with trick modern adjusters. The third link is a reproduction of a 1982 KZ1000 S1 swingarm (factory race bike, only about 30 made in total in '82).

I ran into a guy with a Honda something or other with one on it and it still looked good after all these years. I wish I had one but they are scarce thats for sure. I think if someone could copy it and keep the price under $300 they would sell a ton of them.

I should probably read the rest of this thread first but the Cal-Fab name has been purchased by Moto GP Werks in California. He builds high end Japanese vintage bikes. Many of them high end race bikes. A few of us here have his Yoshimura pipe. He has improved the design of the Cal-Fab swing arm in my opinion. They are now heat treated after they are built.

I posted this today .. :P
For anyone thats interested, Chris Redpath, the owner of MotoGPwerks in Anaheim California bought the rights to Calfab a couple of years back, he has been producing "improved" Calfab swingarms and they are awesome, I have one myself. He is currently making a batch for the KZ1000S1. I have nothing to do with the business, i;m just a happy customer, I just like people that go out of their way to make trick parts for our old bikes. If there's enough interest I'll post pics when they are finished...

Cool, looks like they used the same axle diameter in all models back then, that will make it an easy swap, i knew the 1300 wheel would be harder, it won't fit in between the stock forks, I have another front end i'll use... Love the Calfab swingarm, is that an old one or one of Motogpwerks newer ones...?

No,There was a really clean one on ebay but I got gazumped at the last minute. This one was from a guy from the Z1OC in England. Its a good pipe, very solid with no rot but the chrome is pitted in places and a bit scruffy. On any other bike,no problem but with all the time and energy (and money) ive spent on cleaning/polishing/powdercoating/painting/anodising this bike, I think it lets it down a bit. Ideally,I would love to have it stripped and ceramic coated ( I always hoped for a black pipe) or even rechromed, but Ive not had any luck finding somewhere to do it.So it stays as is for now and either ill get it refinished or find a nice replacement further down the line.
A Motogpwerks pipe would do me nicely and I was looking for prices the other day, which led to........

Anyway, time and economic considerations dictate that I go with the Harris as is.

What a strange concept. Whingeing about having to make do with a genuine 1980s Harris 4into1 in solid condition (and with a race baffle)!!!!

I need to get out more!
