HaHa that is cool i will note that in my old mechanical trick book .well since you used 2 on each side your bike is worth 4 dimes more! i had to google the dime and found it was a picture of Roosevelt on it. I have been on the aircraft carrier roosevelt taking off and landing ,but it is not what you may think because i was 5 or 6 year old and it was in a chopper

I'd drop the pan and install one of these.

Trap door to prevent oil starvation if you get excited in the curves

Done some more today since i cant take the engine out where i live now  i will just overhaul the head and cylinders and replace timingchain and slider plus rollers sprockets.
After some inspections the conrodbearings feels solid .The crank rotates very easy i can rotate it with my fingers on the 17mm nut with minimal force. That is when pistons is off =)
I would like to test the crank for runout and also the bearingclearances  ,but then i have to split the cases and that is not possible this time. I measured the conrods sideplay and it was inside spec.I fished up some more black hardened rubber pieces i think it is from a O-ring but not sure .If someone know where it is coming from tell me !

This doesn't belong here

This does

The roller won't even fit the pin unless someone removed the needle bearing.

Hi Steve i saw your post last night and did not understand what you talked about .This morning im still tired and a little confused ,but i se now what you mean.It for sure looks like there is a needlebearing on the side there! that is very strange .All the rollers are out now and i will take a look at them. the bike is taped and ready to be picked up and sendt to a winterstorage.
I will se if i have more pics or video from down in the case.

Update i now had a quick look at some more photos and it is not a needle bearing it is the big sprocket that is connected to the clutch It looks like a part of a needlebearing in the pickThat was posted earlier By the way is there supposed to be a o-ring where the red arrov points ?

No!
And if if there is one and it managed to get pushed up the stud by oil flow and block or restrict the feed up to the head it will cause the cams to run dry and wreck the shell and cam journals.

Ok thanks zed1015 then i know that .On my fj there is some green O-rings on the outer studs where the oil flows so thinking maybe kawasaki had something similar.
I then need to find out what the o-ring pieces coming from .The tacho drive has 2   O-rings and they are intact and soft. They was replaced 2019 when a kawasaki dealer replaced them i can se from a resiept from po owner. Maybe the pieces is from a old oring on the thachodrive that was not seen when the dealer replaced them.
