Gotta brag a little. So i have been looking for NOS front pegs. Or at least something with nice rubber that I could clean up and re-plate the metal center section. Thanks to BCScott and his lead to Vintage Kawasaki I was able to find the LH peg for half of what Evilbay was asking. Once I had the LH I needed the RH, only one listed on Evilbay for $149.00, OUCH. I didn't want to lose out and have only one, I contacted the seller and they dropped the price by a whooping 8%. So I agreed to buy it. I just couldn't justify the price and started calling Kaw dealers. Luck was on my side and I found one in Wisconsin and the agreed to ship it. Grand total, Wait for it!!!! $40.15 shipped. Should be here mid week. I emailed the Evilbay seller and asked to cancel the deal and they were nice and let me out. The NOS front peg was $27.00.

Harbor Frieight sells a cheap but useful LH drill bit set that can be used to get those broken screws out. Key thing is to start with a small bit and hit the center, or work the bit sideways to get it into the center.  Then slowly work up in size, making sure you stay centered.  When the screw becomes a thin shell most of the time is will spin out without drama.

Thank you. I have been soaking them with PB Blaster sense they broke. I have a HF on my way home. I'll stop by the pick them up. I need new cleaning brushes anyway.

Good job on finding parts for half decent prices. If I wasn't so impatient, my own project probably could have cost me half as much.

Well, this is a big nothing burger. This is the RH foot peg I pulled outta the shipping bag. Someone mislabeled an old part they found on the shelf. When I contacted the dealership I gave the parts guy the KHI part number, he said yep it shows we have one. Let me go put my hands on it to make sure it’s actually here, a few minutes later he comes back on the phone and says, yep I have it, it looks like a foot peg. I said great, you know how hard that is to find, will you ship it. The rest is a big disappointment!!! They will credit back my money when it’s returned.

That's a bummer!   Might come in handy when you start restoring MotoX  bikes?

This site lets me add 34028-012 to a cart. That's the part number you're looking for, isn't it? They describe it as from a 1978 KZ650-B2. Might be worth a call shop.mr-motorcycle.com/fiche_section_det...ar=1978&fveh=1693330 It's at the bottom of the page.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

BCScott, thanks for the lead. Unfortunately it’s a hard no got. Thank you.

I dont understand why this is so hard to find. It’s used on the 400, 650, 750, all 900’s, and the 1000 B’s up till 1980.

Matt, I have the right side mounting bracket, in good condition but not the rubber.  It's yours if you want it.

I'm heading out for a couple of hours.  I can post photos when I return.
