This is a comparison of the new LED 1157 with the std 1157. I'll post the difference when lit up this weekend. I got mine from Brite Lights

Fossil, what does "e marked" mean?
OnkelB, that is one sweet looking 650! What kind of seat is that?
I think I'll go with the shotgun light and some LED bulbs.
E marked is European legal, same as DOT or SAE in North America, meaning it isn't cheaply made aftermarket junk.

I went ahead and ordered the twin cateye model, but I decided against the LED bulbs for now, opting for some HID blue 1157's.

I look at it like a learning experience. Experience comes from poor judgement, and poor judgement comes from experience.
Onward I go.

RED DIRECT 1157 BASE 3205-17 from Radiantz from Custom Dynamics
...and...
3 Watt Luxeon 1157 bulbs from superbrightleds.com
All other LEDs I've found are much dimmer, especially in sunlight. DO NOT BE FOOLED by the lies of most LED companies...
...oh, and by the way, I also have one of those license plates with the dual cat-eye lights. The light sockets DO NOT accept normal-sized lights (not enough room behind the red lense), and you can only used the limited-watt (I think 12 watts?) lights that come with them. That's pretty crappy too....

I have bought alot of LED lights in a few years of testing, and NONE except two have ever been even close in brightness to regular bulbs:

Yeah that IS crappy!
You mean the sockets themselves will hold an 1157, but there's not enough room in the lens housing?
My twin cateyes should be showing up today.
Biquetoast, do you think those 3 watt Luxeons will fit in the lenses? Or are the sockets different?

Biquetoast, apparently you have different model twin cateye light than the one shown on the above website. I just recieved mine yesterday and it does take 1157 bulbs. Seems to be fairly well built except for the chrome plastic housings. But for 25 bucks, not too shabby.
