Frames?
02 Dec 2006 12:33
Hey guys, I am building a streetfighter out of my 75z1b and have a kosman frame brace kit that I want to use but I have got to thinking and it might be a better idea to brace up a more common frame. So my question is this does anyone have a kz frame that my 75 pieces will fit that they are interested in getting rid of?
Or should I just brace up the Z1?

if you wana brace the chassis up first look at what you are looking to do ok why brace it up at all? well the wable at hight speed . ok the back bone in the kz chassis are a little wimpy for me so there is one place to put a couple of braces. as for braceing up any place els i dont think it helps , it just more lbs. this is only my openion. sorry for the spelling if you have a old kz look at the braces in frount of the neck there are craks there already lol . tells me thats where the most movement is

Mike, good eye brother! Both sides of the stamped steel bracing behind the neck of my Z1 are cracked. In addition to the kosman kit I want to duplicate this as well as get rid of the sheet metal bracing and replace them with some tubelar gussets.

im thinking 73mm is gonna be around an 1105 which isnt gonna leave a lot of meat in stock sleeves for ring seal and putting boost on top of that is gonna worsen the ring sealing issues, have you thought about a 1075 instead of 1105 or an other combination with thicker sleeves? the reason im going with the 1385 turbo on my project is i want something that will have enough power and torque to pull like a freight train in any gear at any speed even when the boost is set at just a couple pounds running on watered down pump gas!
