Hey Mark1122 I went with the longer swingarm to accept a bigger tire. I think I'm making pretty good power and wanted a bigger tire that would stick to the ground, and I love the look of stretched bikes. As far as the stabilizer I put it on there just cause I like a little more firm steering than the bike had. If I hit a bump or something the handlebars would become to easy and if the front end came up while shifting into the next gear it just didn't feel right to me. So the stabilizer fixed this for me.
My next project I'm going to do more of a streefighter theme with front end and rear off a new style bike like a gsxr or a zx whatever is more of a direct bolt on.
Mike
have some more pics with the bike all cleaned up will post them tonight....
Also does anyone have an extra fender for my bike? I want to cut it a bit to make the fit a little better with the radius of the tire just don't want to ruin the one I have cause it's very clean....

Again Mike, Very Nice Bike. Nice to see that your a KZRider member.
I had the pleasure to see this bike in person at a bike show glen burnie about a week ago and the pictures of this bike does not do it any justice. You have to see it person.
Mike if your offer still stands, I want to pick your brain on some of your mods especially that engine. Also once I stop riding for the season, which is usually november, I'm going to swap to a zx front end to go for the street fighter look. I think I have aquired all the parts necessary to switch it over. I'll keep you posted on the progress or you can stop by and see for yourself.
Once I complete the front end swap I'll post a write-up with pics under a new post for everyone to see and comment.

btw - you have exquisite taste... corbin seats are the best. I agree with the guys... the fender needs to be worked on, but sounds like you're working on that. what are you thinking for downsizing the front tire/rim? i think you're right, it's a bit tall in the front. the view from the back is fantastic!!

Oh yea I remember hey nice to see that your a member here too. Anytime you need help just give me a call. I'll pm you my number unless I already gave it to you like 50 times I gave it out to others. It sure was nice to see all the people interested in my bike and it was really great to here all the compliments. Now I'm getting calls all the time for people wanting me to build their bikes for them. Maybe now it's time I open my own shop. I've been looking for reasons to leave my job and start my own thing.
Requiem I'm currently thinking about how I cut the fender up to make fit and function a little better. The front wheel I'm going to respoke a 18" instead of the 19" to give it a more subtle look. I'm also going to use the same diamond spokes that I used for the rear on the front. I just have to figure how to move the front fender down to keep the same spacing between the tire and fender I have now. Maybe oval the holes or something . Anyone have experience in doing this?

This may work to extend the rear fender and balance the gap.

With that plate it would push your tail light out past the tailpiece. There is a guy that makes 6 inch longer tail sections. I can't remember the site but someone posted it on here about six months ago. I'm getting a 6 over arm for mine and thought I might invest in the 6 over tail section while I'm at it.

Terry McCall does the tail extentions. You can check them out at
www.mccallcolors.com/099.htm
. The MKII tail pc on the site is mine. I had him do it for me about a year ago and it came out excellent. He does very good work. I wish I could afford one of his paint jobs too!
