Started to take the gauges off when I noticed the trip meter was moving easier. I reset it and rode up the street and back. Seems to be working now. The Tach cable was loose and again I tried to tighten it. Another MOTION PRO HORROR STORY.

I think I'll send the speedo in for exchange but not the Tach.

Have about 100 very easy miles on the speedo now and the howling has reduced quite a bit but ....it's turned into a chirpping sound too. I am not expecting longevity and will be quite disappointed as I bought these new unused second hand from an owner who had them for many months before deciding it was too hard to install them with new wiring and the bracket swap.
Ugh.
Nobody to blame

Did you lube the input shaft?

No ...did I stupidly think this was factory lubed? It had a red plastic cap on the male thread end like it was never popped off.

You might squirt a little lithium grease in there with the tube to see if it quiets down.

Just got off the phone with them and they said sending it back isn't a problem and if if it screws up again they'll replace it again. My old speedo will fit, it's the tach that won't fit the old bracket. I'm doing the switch today.

What kind of written warranty do they come with?
I mean something like 6,000 miles and 1 year or ??

I got none of that. They do seem to be trying though.

I did. The mechanic said it's a rare issue, if this one won't work or becomes a problem they will give a full refund plus the shipping. I guess I'd better send my old ones in soon.

I boxed up the speedo and will be sending it this morning. The Tach wandered while riding yesterday. I told them if it persists, I'll send it back later. Nice day, I want to test fit my arm and get a link count. My sprocket is STILL NOT HERE.
