I have a set of those calipers also. They are dual piston and harder to adapt than the Tokico ones. That is why I finally chose the previous ones.

Hey Harvey, how does it stop with these? What size mastercylinder are you using? did you run into any spoke clearance problems???

Thanks mate, interesting info in this thread, I have been chasing a setup like this for a little while down in Australia, looks very neat and tiday, WELL DONE!

IIRC, I probably cleaned them with scotchbrite. Sodablasting works well too, but I didn't have one when I did those wheels/rotors last year.

Scothbrite? I know this sounds silly, but I've never tried this before. How do you do this?
Thanks,
Ken

Scotchbrite @ Is a scowering pad made out of plastic and impregnated with abrasive. They come in different colors which determine the grit. Most common are green and red. I believe they are even available fro Harbor Freight. It is kin to using steel wool or sand paper but more effective. I buy mine at McMaster-Carr because they have a selection of grits.

These look the similar to my set up. I have z900 spoke wheel hub, Z1R discs and floating calipers off a gpz900r. made the mounts with hacksaw and files out of alloy plate. The braided lines improve the spec no end!

That is a very good price at Home Depot MUCH cheaper than McMaster. I also love to use these to final polish my ports after I do a Port job.

Why do you have the calipers Up-Side-Down? How do you bleed them properly?

I would like to have a back-up set of brakes for my 79 KZ. It would make sense to upgrade to ZX 7 brakes. What year are those calipers?
