I just have a vision of some twisting going on there. That looks like the weakest point now. imo.
I can feel my frame flex in the center, now that i have firmed up the ends, with a modern arm, and forks .
i dont think i need to post anymore. Leon can read my mind now anyways. lol

Thanks Leon, Canuck is about the farthest from California lingo you can get and still speak english  I did get the drift of what Mark was saying, but appreciate the clarification all the same. Mark buddy, I'm gonna get there. Its next on the bracing "to do" list after I finish the front X brace.

We got California dudes, Canadian hosers, Okies from Muskogee, Texas rednecks, now all we need is someone from across the pond to chime in. Mark, you know damn well that you ain't gonna stop postin'. There's some redneck for ya'll. Leon should be able to translate that too.

As I understand it some frame flex is required or you could risk having a bike that doesn't corner at all. Frame flex is part of your suspension and without it you risk having the rear tire lose traction when you hit a bump while leaning.
Not saying that the KZ frames don't need some braces; but don't get to carried away without having a way to check to make sure you still have some lateral flex!

I dont think it would be possible to get a tube frame that stiff. look at the Ducatti latter frames.they didn't experience that issue until they were well into the alum frame era. but good point just the same.
OOPS Sorry, yes of course , it was Josh that was so kind to make the compressor for me.:blush:You must mean Josh's spring compressor. ..... beaties? Damn, can't say I've ever heard that word before!

You're absolutely correct. Excellent feedback from the bike due to some chassis flex was one of the factors that contributed to Ducati's supremacy in world superbike, and a trait that the big 4 tried to copy to some degree. I'm not arrogant enough to think that I'm capable of reinforcing a stock frame to a level comparable to a modern bike. I think she'll still have plenty of flex left

Ah hell, it looks like someone beat me to the punch! That is a sweeeeeet triple though :woohoo: I was, in fact, thinking of a 750 as my next bike Ben. But I was thinking of chopping up a GpZ 750 turbo and adding a Duc 1098 swingarm and subframe  I gotta get through this bike first!
