I have tried to get them level with the clear tube, but 1 and 4 will not come up any higher - level. Wise
Although I have. A new fuel filter on to line before the cards I still have so much crap getting into to bowls.
I have to do another tare down and clean them better and also look at the footer valves on 1 and 4 that's the cost of being a newbe but I,ll get there
Thank you for the help I'm so glad to have found this Site. Dan

I use a length of dog lead chain and rattle it around inside the tank, after taking the tap and fuel level sender off. The metal is thin and can get 'dingers' so don't use heavy chain. Some string attached helps when fishing the chain out.

That'll work. ;) Don't bend the tangs too much. They will jam the needle to the side and cause leaking. Bend the float balls up slightly and have the tangs almost level. Use them to fine adjust the fuel level.

That's right. Look for the witness marks from the needle on the tangs.

I used k1 kerosene. Added an online fuel filter but when I open the prim and run gas. Into a white pan I see soft gelled spots in the pan. I'll flush it out again tell it comes back clear.

Yes I think you are right it is water from the vintage water mix to remove the rust
The tank looks so much better inside and at the end of the day gas is cheep so I'll. Change it out.
Thank you Dan
