I think I'll have to pull the secondary out again and take a good look I really like to find something that I missed and be able to not have to split the case fingers crossed I'm going in

Well no luck I looked at it from every angle flipped a chain around on the gears make sure that was set iin the teeth properly everything I could think of put power to the starter skippity skip skip so I guess the only thing it could be is somehow at 25000 miles my primary chain is stretched I don't really think I can split this engine and get it back together
that might be a little bit beyond my talents so I'm seriously thinking of making a chain tensioner and hopefully if I do it right it'll hold and things will work big maybe but cant split it don't think I can do it

is it like in this video ?
www.kzrider.com/forum/2-engine/597409-1s...utch?start=20#664667

Although it looks to me like primary chain is skipping on the crank the consensus seems to be that its a starter clucth issue, I have not had the pleasure of tackling the starter clutch on mine but others here like randombeat have and may be able to provide better input.

With the oil pan off I can see the chain jump the gears on the crank I wish it was the starter clutch but it doesn't seem to be the starter clutch is all new and holds the chain fine doesn't slip on that and slips only on the crank jumps over clank clank clank

Great video not what is going on with mine but when i took it apart i removed the c clip off the end and the rubber blocks inside fell out i put them back in and put it together and gave it no second thought. So now i tore it down again and found there are numbers on the blocks so am looking for instructions on what the order should be to give it a little play back and forth sorry for the crap picture but the gear has rubber blocks inside all numbered 50-51 ext.

Search "secondary drive dampers" on the forum ....... Nessium and the guys were talking about it last month ..... good chance something is not right here I'm hoping and thinking although the three bolts secure it to the starter sprocket so not sure if this could cause it to slip or not.

Really strange I had to thing torn down played with the dampers everything couldn't figure anything out put it back together the only thing different is I found a sweet spot on the secondary shaft that went in with hardly any effort at all tighten it down from there and it works no skipping no nothing no idea what I did but it works and I'm happy. Big thanks to all you guys thank God for this form.Still looking to get a hard copy manual thanks again

Thanks for hanging in there!!
Personally, I found this bizarre as I honestly can not remember ever seeing a primary chain skipping, as you described, unless there was major damage to the sprockets/teeth or some other catastrophic damage!!!
