Yes! All the 3 bolt top VM plungers are pretty much the same. Will choke plungers from VM24 fit into VM26?
Some early chromed plungers have a slightly longer metering needle but it makes no difference.

Tanks and sorry, have overseen your post.Have you tried disconnecting the ignition pulse to your "shift light" ? (it is possible that there is a conflict between the ignition module and the shift light circuit ?)
Have thought about that but there is no direct link between shift flash and ignition. The speedo is simply connected and get rpm from positive wire of right coil.

Makes sense. If it's robbing one coil of even a little power the bike won't run for SHT.Disconnect that tach wire and take it for a ride.

That doesn't sound right, the positive side is a constant ignition live, surely the tach pulse should be on the switched side of the coil ????

Just tried with complete unplugged tachometer. No change at all…
Additional done a WOT plug chop.
Approximately 2 miles with only wot.
See first picture below. Too short or real lean.
Darker plug from right now 40 miles on the sharp ridden.
The hotter the engine, the better the bike runs. That's what I noticed.
But Topspeed only 150kmh. To that point she pulls very strong. Notice on 7/8 throttle from 5 to 7k that the engine sounds little “louder“, could be little more greedy. Difficult to explain.
For me it looks like to go back to 112 main.
Your suggestions?

The ground strap ( heat range ) indicates you may need a colder plug.
2nd pic darker base ring ( mixture strength) looks wet so either oily or rich.
1st pic is very clean and looks fuel washed .
Engine running louder may be detonation.
Before you dig back into the jetting try applying the choke ( enrichener ) to add more fuel at high rpm and see if it improves.

Plugs are NGK B8ESWhat grade plug is that.

Colder plug is B7ES or B9ES?
What do you mean with louder are detonations?
You are right, jetting will not help because I have tried to use enricher during jerking. Makes it little worser…
Last to tries for me if you all have no idea: VM26 and jump to Dyna ignition.
There is something other wrong. Any further subsections?
Edit: This is new: During deceleration from high rpm I had 2 times on that 40 miles a very load exhaust detonation. Means too rich I think?

Backfiring on decel can be caused by excess fuel being burnt in the exhaust but can also be caused by other issues such as an exhaust air leak etc.
If backing off the throttle at WOT improves running you may need smaller main jet.
Another thought.. Have you tried running the bike with the pods removed..
