Steve said it. Delicate work. You'll need surgeon's precision & patience. Funny story: a doctor i once saw told me they are trained NEVER to use the word "oops"...
Instead they're s'posed to say "Hmmm".

Side note to drilling: a dab of grease on drill bit helps collect metal fragments from falling down into any harder to clean spaces.

Good Luck & steady as she goes!

I was in a bad situation with many of the jets....I was prepared that one or all could go worng. I'm just glad I'm dealing with one not four broken jets!

Ok so I have to punch or do something so the drill has a chance to bite. I couldn't find a center punch small enough to fit down the jet tube and center in the jet hole, so my thought was to use either of the following: punch with a pic or grind into the hole a little with the dremel bit (what do y'all think)?

Lefty drill bits (1/16th is the smallest)

No.1 extractor or easy out

Just be uber careful punching cause that carb body isn't likely to hold up to much abuse...

Should grind the jet with the Dremel rather than bang on it with a punch?

Use the largest extractor you can get into the hole. You break one off, game over.

I can't thank you all enough, but I failed :( I decided to grind a little with the dremel and that worked great (I figured it wouldn't hurt if it didn't work then I could use the punch.) I drilled out the jet with a lefty 1/16 and then a 5/64, got the extractor seated, heated the carb to 150-170 degrees. I turned and at first thought we had progress, then it got harder, then the extractor was really torquing! I realized that instead of the extractor pulling out the jet...the jet was pulling IN the extractor. You'll be able to see in the pics below! What is left of the jet is still in there and the extractor bit past the jet sides and into the carb wall. No good!!!! I really do appreciate all of you helping!!! Now on to getting a carb to replace this one. If any of you have ideas of what to do from here let me know, a carb on partzilla costs over $1000 (yikes)! Can you drill out the jet and retap it with a helicoil?

Heated and started

Try the larger one. Heat up the outside without the extractor in and use it while hot.
