Not sure. But I know JeffG1 had posted about a guy who rebuilds carbs from eBay who was advertising a set of VM28's as being VM29 smooth bores. Don't think this is the same guy. Both worth double checking.

i have been passing emails with the guy and he says its about a 14 day turn around on the rebuild. i did a google search and their are quite a few posts on different forums about how great of work he does. well i got the carbs all boxed up and waiting to ship maybe tomorrow. from what he says they will look just as nice as the ones in his auctions, and if so they will look new. he gave me a quote of $245 with shipping included back to me. as long as something else isnt broken.

Agreed... +1

Pictures worth a thousand words... sounds a little inexpensive.
I charge $65 - $80 per carb + shipping and any parts required. Business is just fine B)

Hey gengomerpyle,

I see that you are in Largo, Fl. I used to live in Largo before moving to Citrus county. I was just off of Oakhurst between 102nd Ave. and Ulmerton. I plan on doing my trial run to Largo once I get the forks and head stem back together. It will be a good shake down ride in preparation for the relay. I usually go to Largo (close to Indian Rocks Beach) once very week or two for work. If you are interested in rebuilding them yourself and you haven't sent them out yet, let me know. I'd be happy to help you out with them as far as what I did the restore/rebuild mine. If not, let me know once you get the carbs back and the bike running, if you would like to do a ride sometime.

Joe
