Any secrets to getting the carbs out with stock airbox? The manual says pull them up and out to the right side...? Mine don't wanna budge lol.

At the rear of the box, on both sides you should find a small "L" shaped bracket held by 1 bolt. Remove the bolt on each side, and let the box back as far as it can go. I push the carb rack back first, then twist upwards on the front to clear the Intake boots. Then it will slide out either side, once out a ways the cable will unhook.
New rubber Airbox connecting boots make the job MUCH easier.

Haha, actually while I was looking for the bracket you described, I pushed one of the carb boots in to the arbox, and had alot more room to pull th carbs out of the manifolds. Dude your a lifesaver. It was still a hard wiggle, but got them out!

That's another method, push all 4 boots into the airbox. More than 1 way to skin a cat.

Got them on the bench, going to try the clear tube method. Do you know the length of the clear tubes or does it matter?

You can pick up some clear tubing at Lowes. Only needs around 1 foot, just enough to go from the bottom bowl fitting up along side the carb. You can get 4" and measure all 4 at the same time, so you can compare Levels.
Also you can make a cheap Manometer to use for Syncing them. Ask and I'll explain.
Here it is all written up in "Filebase" by a kind Member:

There is a lot of Carb info in there.

Cool. I've got about 10feet of the stuff, just didn't know how long each needed to be. I guess liquids liquid and will just rise to whatever level it is.?

Thats right, just needs to be higher than the fuel level, and enough to attach so it stays in place. Zip tie to the side of the carb works for me.

I also pushed the boots into the airbox and made the job much easier. I bought new boots on from z1. I would have never got everything hooked back up and kept my sanity without them. I even tried the hot water method with no luck. I noticed that my old boots were about 25% smaller than the new ones because of shrinkage. just my .02

Gotcha. Just checked the outer two, wasn't able to get to the inner two drain screws. Ill take another shot at it in the morning. The outer two were a whopping 12mm from the carb bodies!
